- Seek medical attention
In most states, when medical attention is needed, you must utilize panel-designated medical providers. If your injury is urgent and needs immediate attention, proceed to the nearest ER. You will be informed where to receive follow-up care when you contact HR regarding your injury. - Complete an Incident Report
Any GHR employee who is injured while working for GHR must have an Incident Report filled out and signed by the supervisor on duty. Workers’ compensation will not accept any claim that does not have an accompanying incident report; if you fail to fill out an incident report, the financial responsibility of your injury may become yours. All incidents will be investigated by the insurance board - Contact GHR’s Human Resources Department
Report all work injuries to Human Resources immediately; the number is 800-879-4471. If your injury happens outside of normal business hours, you must still call GHR and report the incident to our after-hours staff. If you fail to contact Human Resources in a timely manner, the financial responsibility of your injury may become yours. - Work status determination
You must notify HR and your Staffing Specialist of any work restrictions you are placed on due to an incident that occurred while on assignment with us. GHR has a Transitional Work Program that is available to any employee who sustains a work-related injury, occupational disease or illness, while on assignment for GHR that results in lost time from the job. For more details on this program, please refer to the Transitional Work Program section in your Field Employee Handbook.
Drug testing is mandatory on ALL workers’ compensation claims (excluding needle sticks). Any employee that commits WC fraud will be prosecuted to the FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.
